The woman further alleged that Arava Sridhar sexually assaulted her on multiple occasions and promised to marry her. She claimed that she became pregnant and was later forced to undergo an abortion against her will. According to her statement, the MLA continued to pressure and control her during this period.
Claims of Threats and Intimidation
According to the woman, she was living separately from her husband at the time. She alleged that the MLA pressured her to seek a divorce and issued serious threats, including threats to harm her three-year-old son if she did not comply. She also claimed that she was warned of severe consequences if she spoke publicly about the matter.
Political Reaction and Social Media Response
Following the circulation of the video, the YSR Congress Party (YSRC) demanded the immediate arrest of Jana Sena MLA Arava Sridhar and called for an independent investigation. The issue was raised on the social media platform X, leading to widespread political debate.
